As a home owner you want to make sure, your home is properly taken care of when occupied by other people. You also want to feel safe about the local legislations, do’s and don’ts, taxes and etc. Trust and communication are our most important keywords. Below we have tried to answer the most common questions that related to short term rentals. Please contact us if you do not find the answer to your question here.
How do I get in touch with you?

How easy is it to get started with Hello Sun Rentals?
Very easy! Once you sign up, the ball starts rolling. We will start collecting your information, inspecting your home, make photos of your property, and creating your property listing. Normal activation includes taking new photos, creating a detailed listing, pricing, activating advertising on the main internet channels and starting to take reservations – all in as little as a few weeks! This can take a little bit longer depending on the homeowner’s schedule, or if a home is in the process of being converted from a residence or long-term rental.
Can you help me convert my property into a successful holiday rental?
We do everything we possibly can to meet all of our homeowners’ needs and give you the peace of mind that your property is in good hands. We will give tips and advice to help you get the most profitable rentals.
Does my home need to be of a certain quality or size?
To some degree yes, as we do focus on quality rentals in prime locations. This could be a studio apartment in a downtown metro area or average home within a prime vacation destination. We will evaluate your home and let you know if we feel it will be a good fit for our program.
Is there anything I am required to have at my home?
Yes. According to the law there are certain things that a short-term rental home must be equipped with. – like furniture, appliances, cookware, and dinnerware.
We will of course work with you to make sure that you have everything in place. Please contact us for a quote without obligations. Well decorated homes tend to rent at a higher frequency, and we always encourage owners to have a home that shows well.
Do I need to have WiFi installed?
Yes. We do require WiFi to be available and we´ll recommend you to provide a Smart TV with ChromeCast. If not available, we can arrange internet, Chromecast (home TV) as well for a small fee.
When do I get paid for reservations?
WEEKLY RENTAL: Settlement to the Owner’s declared bank account:
Departure between day 1 – 15 in a month, settled on the 1st of the following month.
Departure between the 16th and 31st day of a month is settled the 15th of the following month.
LONG-TERM RENTAL / MONTHLY RENTAL: Settlement to owner’s stated bank account:
For rentals of duration 1 – 2 months: 1st or 15th of the following month.
For rentals over 2 months: Settled every month on the following 1st or 15th.
How do you advertise my holiday rental?
We list your home everywhere guests are looking for rentals! In addition to our own site, we’ll list your property on these major listing sites e.g.:
Homeaway, Booking.com, airbnb
and of course via social medias such as:
All of this totally free of charge for homeowners!
If you already have listed your home on one or several of these sites, well, don´t worry. We´ll work with you to avoid any double booking.
How do I book myself, friends, or family at my property?
You can of course freely and at any time book your own property. We just need to know the exact dates, so we can avoid double-bookings. If you want to have us clean your home after your stay, we will bill you on your owner’s statement for the cleaning. You may also choose to clean the home yourself.
